I'd like to add instructions to some entry forms for section fields - for example a note next to a date field that says "Please use UTC date format". Or for a set of fields "For more information about these configuration parameters, see the plugin documentation [here]".

Does an extension exist that would allow me to do this?

Perhaps the Publish Notes Field?

Custom Field Captions might do the job too.

Documenter may also be useful, granted it's not for per field instructions.
