Suddenly, a site is moving really slow. It was working fine until this morning.

On profiling the page, I noticed a 60 seconds processing time for XSLT Transformation ... wtf? (see attachment)

Taking the site to local dev, it's working fine (0.2s).

Any ideas why this happens?

Yowser. How big is the XML? Are you on shared hosting or your own server? Can you see if there are any other processes on the server hogging RAM or CPU? Can you reboot the server or restart Apache?

The problem occurs on all pages. The XML for index page is 400 lines long (shouldn't be a problem).

I just sent an email to server admin and see what he has to say.

This sounds really weird.... had an XML running over 4000 lines the page was being generated in less then 1s...

Strange. After a few hours, everything works fine again (XSLT Transformation time = 0.09s). Don't know what happend, but thank you for support.
