I am going through the user guide and I thought a good first customization to my Symphony-CMS install was to change up my navigation.

So what I want to do is specifically go after a few pages I created for my menu options.

I exit navigation.xsl to accomplish this.

I have pages home, about, contact, etc

So I dont quite see how to accomplish what I want. Can anyone give me pointers and also, where am I fundamentally going wrong with understanding? I know that Symphony's goal is to keep data and presentation seperate.

Do you mind posting your XML?

It is in the pastie link in the original post

That’s your template. Bzerangue is referring to the XML that Symphony generates from your datasources. Your template then transforms the XML.

To see the XML that Symphony generates, make sure you’re logged into the backend, then go to the page in question and append ?debug to the URL.

Ha, opps.

You might want to try these two tutorials, they are pretty awesome and it will cover everything you need to know to build your first symphony site:

Say hello to to the world

Say hello to Symphony

These were very helpful. Thanks.
