Hey y'all. I'm a little perplexed right now. I have an existing site that I updated to Symphony 2.2.5 (about a month or so ago). My client has been complaining of some 403 errors when he tries to upload an image.

The user can save their entry fine, but if they add an optional image (via the File Upload field), then they get a 403 error.

I've checked the permissions on the folder. The folder's permissions are set to 755. I've changed it to 777. That still didn't help.

Any thoughts on what might be causing this? And what I can do to fix this issue?

Does it related to suPHP with write permission issue in that folder?

I seemed to fix this issue by adding the following to .htaccess.

SecFilterScanPOST Off

I don't know why this fixed it, but it did.

I had this same issue with the following caveats:

  1. I could successfully upload document files and images
  2. I could not upload mp3 files (that were within file size limits)

The result was the 403 error. @bzerangue's suggestion allowed me to upload mp3 files. (Thanks BZ)
