I am trying to install Symphony through git and have gotten through the initial steps, but I've gotten stuck at the part where i need to update the submodules.

Step # 4 on this page http://getsymphony.com/learn/tutorials/view/install-symphony/3/

Anytime I attempt to run the command I receive this:

/opt/libexec/git-core/git-submodule: line 77: perl: command not found /opt/libexec/git-core/git-submodule: line 77: perl: command not found

Attached is a screenshot of it.

git had no problem grabbing Symphony, so I don't understand why it can't run the update.

Am I doing something wrong, is there something wrong with the server I am doing this on or is there something wrong with Symphony?

What version of Git do you have installed?

And is Perl installed?

There was something wrong with my Perl installation...

Sorry for wasting your time guys. Thanks for the quick replies
