Here's the scenario: The site I've created is due to go live soon, the client wants to give a select number of users access to the site for testing purposes.

I figured I'd create an author role "tester" and grant no privileges. This almost works but the test user still has access to their own password and also, curiously, Members Roles.

Does any one have a work around for this?

A user will always be able to update their own profile regardless of them being an Author or a Developer.

The Member Roles appearing is a bug in the Members extension, you can solve it immediately by adding ,'limit' => 'developer' after this line
