Just found xpressengine (LGPL) is something that catch my attention with a lot of cool ideas I thought their WYSIWYG editor is outstanding that we wish it was available for Symphony CMS. Even their "Members" feature and a jawdrop database support work out-of-box. :)

Unbelievable, a few features seem to be similar to Symphony CMS. Hope it will be useful for your clients demand different CMS.

Generally I don't think that the Symphony forum is the right place for "alternatives to Symphony" which are more than 6 times as much code and do not use XSLT. Most of our users don't search for features, but for possibilities. So they are not impressed by the amount of code — it's the other way round. Most of our users love web standards (like XSLT). And most of the Symphony users won't really like a system which includes PHPMailer to send emails (because that may have been a good choice many years ago, but times have changed a lot). So XpressEngine may be "another CMS", but it's no alternative to Symphony.

One might as well argue about the naming of XpressEngine, which is "politically incorrect" IMHO.
