Hello, I'd like to try out Symphony for mass mailing, for a website using another Cms. This one uses some .htaccess rule, which I fear might conflict with the Symphony installation.

Do you think this might be the case? This http://d.pr/n/4r9M is the htaccess config.

Thank you very much.

The htaccess rules are relatively similar to Symphony's rules.

From that set, you would only need to duplicate the authentication rule. That being said, it all depends on where you install both CMSs.

What were you thinking of for your folder structure?

Thanks John, directory structure would be

/index.php <- main cms
/symphony/index.php

I'm having trouble identifying the authentication rule, and why should I duplicate it?

Thanks

Ah then there shouldn't be an issue.

The root should hold your original htaccess, with the RewriteBase set to /, and in the /symphony folder, the Symphony htaccess should have the RewriteBase set to /symphony/. That should work.

I was thinking you meant in the same folder.

Agreed, I don't see why there would be a conflict if the installations are in separate folders.
