Sorry, yes. This is actually Ubuntu/Chrome’s fault and shouldn’t be fixed in Symphony.

Fixed in this commit by reverting #472
This issue is closed.
The recent fix for a grey background in Chrome forces Firefox to use its own rendering (inner bevel order) rather than inherit the OS styling (Mac and Windows). Wherever possible Symphony leaves form elements untouched so as to prevent these styling quirks.
