publish filtering is what you'll be after, allows filtering of entries in symphony backend

I have about 500 entries that match a particular Section as it appears in the administrative area.
This is very cumbersome for the admin user. Is there a way to filter these results other than sorting columns?
Maybe an extension? I could create other sections, but this bring on many other issues making that solution untenable.
