I'm trying to update from 1.7.01 to 2 beta 4, and following the instructions. However, when I get to the part where I need to run this MySQL command:

ALTER TABLE sym_sections_association ADD cascading_deletion ENUM( 'yes', 'no' ) NOT NULL DEFAULT 'no';

I don't have any table named symsectionsassociation. All I have is symsections and symsectionsvisiblecolumns.

What should I do? Really looking forward to using the beta.

It is not possible to update from 1.7 to 2.0 as far as I know. The database structure, the way data is treated is completely different.

Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing that up. One question, then. If I reinstall Symphony with the 2.0 beta, I should be able to upgrade from that to whatever the final product is, right?

You cannot upgrade from 1.7 to 2. There are way to many fundamental changes in the database.

No promises, but we are trying hard to keep an upgrade path available.
