Hey, me again :)
To post a comment there is a check for a website url. This expects that any person who writes a comment about something has a URL or URI, but that is far from realistic. How can i disable this and also the check for a e-mail?
Are you referring to the default “blog” installation that comes with Symphony when you first install it? Remember that this is just a simple example of what you can build with Symphony — in reality Symphony isn’t just a blogging tool.
In the default installation comments are stored in a Section named “Comments”. Navigate to Blueprints > Sections and click on this section to edit the Fields that it contains. You can made the Website field optional.
If you want an E-mail field then add a new Input Field to your section, name it “Email” (or whatever you like) then enforce the “email” validation rule. You will then want to modify the XSLT template (HTML) so that a new “Email” field is shown in the form.
