Hi. My name is Chris and I am working on my first symphony site.

Actually, I have been for a month or so now. Today i moved the site over to the clients account at media temple. In the process i upgraded to symphony 2.1 and then uploaded my workspace and extensions. I installed symphony by hooking it up to a “dummy” database, then went in and modified the config.php file to hook up to the database i was using before. I edited the .htaccess file to get php5 running on mt and from there things were looking pretty fancy.

Except now I can’t log in. Even if i go in and change the password in the db (using md5). I still cannot login. But if i move back to the dummy db, i can. What’s the deal? I have moved this site before and never had this problem. Is it a symphony2.1 thing? Is it a MT thing? Please help! I want my stuff!

switched back to 2.08 and am up and running. so it must be a 2.1 thing.

The passwords are now in SHA1 for Symphony 2.1

thanks. that’s what i get for skimming the readme.
