You can find the current date and time in the parameter list when you view your page XML. Append ?debug to see the XML, and click "Params" to view the param list. Use the Format Date/Time utility to change the output format should you wish.
I recommend installing the default blog workspace that comes with the Symphony zip file, where you will see how the Date/Time utility is used.
