Symphony 2 introduced a new behaviour: unlike 1.7 saving an element will not return the user to the summarising list view. Instead the same page is reloaded showing a link at the top to create a new entry, section, page ...

While this feature is quite nice when setting up a site for the first time it's complicating things when you need to change a bulk of existing elements. (Think of a section with a members list as entries: it's getting quite annoying at the latest when you try changing more than ten/twenty/thirty entries.)

I think it would be a great idea to have a next and previous link on the edit pages. Maybe this could be added to the message after saving:

Page updated successfully. Create another? Go to next or previous page?

This could really improve usability in my opinion.

I like this idea. It might be helpful also to be able to set a preference for each section by adding a checkbox option to show the entries list on save or to display the saved entry.

I too, see how this would help improve workflow. Good idea.
