Cannot filter Dynamic DS on either page or output params

I'm having trouble getting a Dynamic DS to filter on some output params.

I've double checked the params are being output to the page and looked in the source code of the DS to make sure the dependancies are there.

Here is the source of my DS.

Do I need to order the datasources somehow so they execute properly?

Any help appreciated.

This is a Symphony 2.2.5 install.

So, I've realised it's not an issue with the DS. I'm storing an API key as an output parameter which is being converted to lowercase and this is breaking the API call.

Does anyone know how to prevent an output param from being changed to lowercase?
