A new extension, "SymReload" is now available for download. Comments and feedback can be left here but if you discover any issues, please post it on the issue tracker.

How does this work? Do you perform a client-side status check every X seconds and force a reload if the server indicates that there was a change?

Yup, currently every 1 second checking for modified files via filemtime() and comparing.

Currently, this creates a large amount of session files in the server's tmp folder due to sessions created when admin content page is called. Filled up my hard drive today. Working on a fix, for now just make sure to manually delete these session files after use.

Ideas are appreciated!

SymReload updated to version 1.01 on 2nd of April 2012
