Hi all,

Finally had some time to play around with custom events in Symphony after just using the stock functionality for a while.

The idea was to hook up a simple mailing list sign up event that fires requests off to Campaign Monitor. I know there's already an extension that handles that but I thought it would be a nice easy entry into the world of custom events.

I've hit a bit of a road block however and would love another set of eyes to try and narrow the problem down.

The action of adding users to the mailing list works fine but I'm not getting anything back in the returned results xml object. At all.

I've tried deleting and reuploading the event file but to no avail. New events built through the control panel work fine and output the XML but not my custom one.

Hopefully someone can spot something I've missed!

Thanks in advance guys.

Hi again all.

Had another look at this with a fresh set of eyes this morning. I was missing a return before the $this->__trigger() call.

That's what you get for coding late in the day!

Cheers, James

Sorry, was going to get back to you. I had you open in a tab and got side-tracked.

Glad you got it sorted.

No problem, DM. It's the thought that counts! ;)
