I was wondering if anyone is using either a Dynamic XML/Remote Datasource to request data from a service such as Flickr or Instagram. Sometimes the requests result in an error and I was wondering if anyone has modified the datasource to keep the old data if an error is returned so there wouldn't be a blank space on your web page.
For example I have a widget on my site that displays 9 images that contain a certain hash tag from Instagram. Occasionally the request fails or it takes to long which force it to fail. If my first request returns 9 images, then my second request to the same url fires and it returns an error I would like to keep and use the response from the first request.
