Though the team has been hard at work on all kinds of new Symphony-related awesomeness, we’ve not forgotten about good old Symphony 2. Here’s what you can expect on that front in the near future…

After wrapping up work for a separate Symphony deadline next week, our focus will shift back in earnest to stabilizing the 2.0.* branch. Here’s what we’re planning:

  • Next week, we’ll officially patch Symphony 2.0.7 to eliminate the major show-stopping bugs in that version.
  • Immediately after that, we’ll begin a two-week bugfix marathon to address the outstanding issues in version 2.0.8 RC1.
  • A second 2.0.8 release candidate will follow. Depending on its stability and performance, we’ll go from there.

We hope this clears up some of the confusion around the 2.0.* branch. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave them below.

Great! I suppose this would be the time to get extension developers to finalise their compatibility checks too.
