I played around with it. I am rather sure that it’s a Symphony bug with handling params from the param pool. I will try and put it on the bug tracker as soon as possible.

Here’s a workaround: Using Nick Dunn’s Param Pool to XML extension you may grab the page title from the page’s XML directly instead of using the param pool — it works!

Right. I don’t think this is an XSLT error but a Symphony sanitisation issue. Will need to look into it.
