@ijy: yep.

There are a few unconfirmed guests that I'd like to check in with and make sure they're able to do the sessions.

I'm in (but ultimately it depends on your schedule).

Hijack: Work in progress, as in it doesn't work completely yet, but not far off...

Well, by the looks of all the topics on here, I'd better pull my finger out and get some researching done!*

*damn you all.

@Allen - I'm in.

Woah! That looks potentially awesome. So will those utilities work in combination with an extension? I'm just wandering how those parameters would be set. Nice work though. Definitely let us know when this is ready to roll!

I've followed this up on the Device Categorizr thread.

Dropped you in it now John. Oops :p

Given the number of issues on the tracker relating to the Data Source Editor I think it would be worthwhile having a brainstorm about potential UI's for this Editor. I feel the current implementation has almost reached it's potential and while we can add more fieldsets and the like, I wonder if we can do better by starting over.

  • #1519: No grouping by system dates (created/modified)
  • #1474: Negation filters
  • #1354: Inline attaching of Data Sources to pages
  • #1353: Parameter autosuggest (Nils has started this)
  • #1182: Dedicated pages for each Datasource type
  • #1181: Data Source Editor improvements for localised installs
  • #1177: Ability to sort by more than one field
  • #1026: Adding handles to Datasources/Events/Pages

Not all of these have been confirmed yet, but that's the sort of ideas that the community has thrown up at the moment (all of these are open tickets).

Since many confirmed guests scheduled for the Jam have day jobs, it would be good if I can get a general idea of the time and day that is most convenient for everyone.

Guests, please give me an idea in the following format:

  • Day: [Any day | Weekday | Weekend]
  • Time: [Morning | Afternoon | Evening]
  • Region: [Country], GMT[+|-]{XX}
  • Notes: {Remarks}

As an example:

  • Day: Any day
  • Time: Afternoon
  • Region: Australia, GMT+10
  • Notes: I'm usually free after 4 pm on weekdays, or anytime on weekends.

So here's my availability :)

  • Day: Any day
  • Time: Afternoon
  • Region: Malta (CET), GMT+1
  • Notes: I'm usually free after 5 pm on weekdays, or Saturdays prior to 6pm & Sundays prior to 3am. I can also try make arrangements to move things around.
  • Note#2: I might also have a couple of weeks coming up where I should be more flexible and free throughout the day will update when I have the dates if required
  • Day: any day
  • Time: Afternoon
  • Region: Amsterdam (CET), GMT+1
  • Notes: I'm rather flexible on most days, except for sunday and wednesday - on these days I have a game to win;) For most other days I'll be able to move things around to make it work.
  • Day: any day
  • Time: morning or afternoon
  • Region: Berlin (CET), GMT+1
  • Notes: weekends suit me better.
  • Day: Any day
  • Time: late afternoon / evening
  • Region: Italy (CET), GMT +1
  • Notes: I can't make it on Wednesdays evening

Here's my availability:

  • Day: Weekday or Saturday
  • Time: Morning or Afternoon
  • Region: United States (Dallas, TX), GMT-06 (Central Standard Time)
  • Notes:
    • Friday or Saturday work best for me.
    • Not available on Sunday (all-day), Tuesday or Wednesday nights

Date for Jam session #2 has been proposed. Guests, please check if the date is going to work for you.

Saturday 13 Nov 2012? That date won't work for me; it's not on my calendar.. ;)

Oops, typo. It's fixed now.

Nice, works for me!

It's a little early, but ok...
