Craig and I have met up with Fazal, Michael, Stephen and Jonas for an evening social drink tonight. It was great seeing everyone in a social context before the event. The Symphony community have some very smart people indeed.

We’ll try and do a Friday evening social drink again but it’ll depend on how tired we are — after all, we have a presentation to give and 15+ people to host the day after ;)

“Social drinking” will take place anyway! Many of us are in the same hotel (Travelodge). I just met Nils and Johanna there.

@Allen, Craig: We understand if you don’t find the time tonight. (Would be cool anyway. I really enjoyed our talk yesterday.)

Allen I think that’s called ‘Not letting the rest of know before it happens! Therefore it doesn’t count, it’s unofficial. Most of us read this, and thus think social drinking is happening tonight…

I’m in, with the rest of us outcasts and those that aren’t gonna be ‘tired’ :P

Anyone up for suggesting a place and time?

Since most of the “Non-Londoners” stay in the Travelodge City Road Hotel, may I suggest to meet there? There are many bars in the neighborhood.

Around 7:30 pm?

Allen and I would be more likely to be able to duck out if the gathering were a bit closer to where we’re staying. Unfortunately, there’s nothing around here at all :-/
